Week 32 (4 - 10 Aug): SG60 - All In!

Sixty years ago, Singapore’s founding generation laboured with vision and sacrifice to build a united and resilient nation. They persevered through trials, worked with what little they had, and dared to dream of a future they could not yet see. We enjoy today the fruit of their courage and hard work. Looking back, we give thanks to God for watching over our land. We believe it is by His grace that Singapore has enjoyed peace in a region where tensions could have divided us, that stability has allowed us to grow, and that our leaders have been guided to make wise decisions for the good of all. We affirm this with deep respect for our nation’s multi-racial and multi-religious harmony, recognising that our shared story has been shaped by the contributions, sacrifices, and sincere prayers of people from many faiths and backgrounds.

Today, as we celebrate this milestone, the Church in Singapore also marks the completion of Love Singapore, a unity movement motivated by love, fuelled by prayer, and inspired by a common vision. For forty days, believers across the nation have sought the Lord with one heart and one voice. We have prayed for our families, for our churches, for the marketplace, and for the nations. Time and again, we have heard the call to be All In, to give ourselves wholly to the Lord, holding nothing back.

Nation building is not only the work of leaders and policies. It is also the steady work of families rooted in love, churches united in purpose, and believers who live out the gospel wherever God has placed them. Unity and progress go hand in hand. We cannot remain where we are and expect to fulfil God’s purposes. Like Paul, we press on toward the prize, to see Christ exalted in our nation, His kingdom advancing, and the gospel carried to the ends of the earth.

As we close these forty days, may the Church rise as a people fully surrendered to the Spirit. May we build strong families, strengthen the Body, and bless the nation. Let us move forward together, united, prayerful, and all in for God’s glory in Singapore and beyond.
