Week 40 (29 Sep - 05 Oct): God’s Amazing Love

Last Saturday, Prof Robbie shared his personal testimony about discovering and living in God’s love. He used an analogy to explain: imagine receiving an inheritance — a large sum of money deposited into a bank account. If you leave the money untouched, it changes little. But when you draw from it and spend it wisely, good things follow.

In the same way, Robbie’s personal encounter with God allowed him to “cash out” and live from the reality of God’s unconditional love. The fear of the Lord gave him wisdom to use that love, not just know it. Over time, this love transformed him — from someone who once self-condemned as “useless and cold,” into a purposeful, caring, and intentional servant leader at home and in the marketplace.

For many of us who have faced childhood wounds, we may still hear the loud or lingering voice of condemnation — one that says we’re too broken, too hopeless, beyond rescue. But condemnation only drives us away from God in shame.

Thankfully, our Father’s love is different. His patience and conviction always come with grace and unconditional acceptance. The Holy Spirit longs to free us from lies and lead us back to our true identity in Christ. God’s love is not just comfort — it is power. It restores who we are and helps us grow into His likeness.

Jesus teaches this in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14–30). Love is not meant to be hidden or hoarded. It is to be “invested,” multiplied, and lived out so that God is glorified.

That means being intentional — learning to love and bless those around us. Simple things matter: sharing a meal with a colleague, truly listening without interrupting, finishing work without gossiping, driving considerately, extending kindness where it’s least expected.

The more we give away God’s love, the more He fills us. Because when love flows through us for His purposes — to reach the lost, to draw hearts back to Him — His supply is endless.

As Joyce Meyer says, “If you trust that God’s love for you is limitless, you will have no problem showing love to others and even going out of your way to bless them.” We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).
